H.E. Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum Commemorates 44th UAE National Day

On the occasion of 44th UAE National Day H.E. Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum has released Arabic calligraphy portraits of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. These limited edition posters are a special tribute to the leaders of the country and are the first in a series of many others planned. Only 50 impressions of each poster are available with every print signed by H.E. Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum.

Releasing the posters, H.E. Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum. said, “It is a moment of great joy and pride for us as we celebrate the 44th anniversary of the establishment of the UAE Union. These posters are my humble tribute to my country and our visionary leaders. I am now working on calligraphy portraits of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai that will be launched on his accession day next month.”

Calligraphy is an exacting craft, ¬demanding historical knowledge, a highly developed aesthetic sensibility and a dexterous hand and it is all visible in the work of H.E. Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum. Beautifully  executing her mastery of the art on the portraits, she has produced absolutely exceptional illustrations. What’s remarkable no lines or sketches have been used to create the forms.

H.E.  Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum is the founder and director of FN Designs. Love and passion for art are the words to describe her. She holds a degree in Business Administration and has a Bachelor’s degree in Arts and Design. Curiosity, creativity and aspirations lie at the heart of her diverse body of work.
